Activities Linked to IARTEM Conferences

IARTEM Rendez-vous Webinars
Each year, a PhD member of IARTEM has the opportunity to help organize a series of webinars (typically two per year). These webinars feature a keynote speaker from either academia or industry, followed by two or three PhD researchers who present their work in relation to the keynote topic.

PhD Day
IARTEM conferences bring together teachers, professionals, and researchers from many countries, and the primary language of these events is English. To support the participation of PhD researchers, a dedicated PhD Day is organized the day before the main conference. This day allows PhD researchers to network with other IARTEM members.

In 2024, PhD Day included the following activities:

• Welcome and roundtable discussion
• Presentations by PhD researchers in smaller groups, followed by informal discussions and advice from experienced IARTEM professionals and academics
• Networking lunch
• At the end of the conference, three PhD researchers were invited to share a brief reflection on their experiences.
